Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture. What the Team Does The TMS Inventory team manages the core availability and reservation engine at OpenTable. At a high level, we own: The Inventory & Availability Engine — a real-time system that computes bookable slots for restaurants based on capacity, constraints, table configuration, and reservation history Core reservation flows — inventory consumption, slot locking, and availability calculations The availability publishing pipeline — ensuring that when restaurants update their schedules, accurate availability propagates across all surfaces (diner-facing apps, in-house tools, partner APIs) Our Mission: Own and evolve the inventory and availability platform so that every reservation is backed by accurate, real-time capacity data — ensuring restaurants
