And it’s why our business strategy centers on making journalism so good that it’s worth paying for. The News Product team at The New York Times is looking for a Staff iOS Engineer. You will work with our Native squad to lay the foundations for satisfying native app experiences. You will deliver world-class journalism to millions of daily readers in a responsive and performant medium. You will lead efforts to enhance the quality, performance, and long-term maintainability of the News app codebase. You will establishing a technical vision that ensures our native experiences remain responsive and reliable for all readers. As part of the News Product organization, you will work with designers, other mobile engineers, and web engineers, and more on a team. This is an opportunity to use different tools, ranging from SwiftUI to hybrid web technologies - whatever will best solve the problem at hand. You'll be part of an engineering organization that values transparency and openness, diversity, learning, community, and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid role
