Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. 5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. We're looking for a data-driven full stack Senior Software Engineer to join the Growth team at Discord. Our team is responsible for how Discord shows up across the web- building the systems that help new users discover and understand Discord before they ever sign up. You'll work across the stack to improve our SEO capabilities, from edge compute solutions that serve millions of requests to backend systems that power our web presence. This is a high-impact role where you'll directly influence how Discord acquires and onboards new users at scale. This person will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Growth. What You'll Be Doing Build and optimize web experiences that improve Discord's discoverability and search engine presence Develop edge compute solutions to serve dynamic, SEO-friendly content at scale Work across the full stack, with a focus on frontend technologies (TypeScript, React) while contributing to our backend systems (Python) Design and run experiments to measure the impact of SEO improvements on user acquisition Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to identify high-impact opportunities and iterate quickly Maintain performance and reliability standards for
