ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER As a member of the SpaceX Construction & Engineering team you will be directly responsible for translating engineering and production requirements into executable plans. You will also manage and update campus maps and individual building drawings as the needs of the business evolve. You will work with a group of elite engineers across multiple disciplines to design, build, and activate infrastructure that will enable orbital launch capability for the largest rocket in the world. This position is based in Hawthorne, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and modify preliminary equipment layouts based on customer input. Produce documents to assist with securing construction contractor bids. Create as-built documents for projects after completion of construction. Integrate 3rd party vendor drawings into existing building drawing sets. Convert files from Teamcenter, Sketch-up, Revu Bluebeam, PDF, or others into Revit and AutoCAD. Perform feasibility assessments of proposed projects from architectural, fire/life safety, structural, and MEP standpoint. Provide baseline preconstruction services, including preliminary budget estimates/schedules. Liaise end user project requests with external design consultants and internal construction/facilities groups. Steer external design consultants
