PAINT & COATINGS TECHNICIAN As a member of the construction projects and facilities team, the paint & coatings technician mixes, strips, paints, and details advanced paint systems, prepares metallic substrates via abrasion and etchants, applies sealants/adhesives, maintains spraying equipment, and uses precision tools like calipers while supporting safety, quality, and delivery improvements. You will have the opportunity to drive positive changes in a fast-paced, low-drag environment. This technician owns tasks and projects from start to finish, with the goal of making the SpaceX campus a world-class test facility that can support the mission of enabling life beyond Earth. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and coordinate ticket system requests for paint projects across the site to ensure timely and quality execution of work Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint steel surfaces, buildings, and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat-resistant finishes Tape, float, paint, and repair wall finishes and apply texture Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, electrostatic sprayers, and pumps Safely store and label all materials on a daily basis Erect scaffolding, rigging, and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with saf
