Engineering Manager, Blockchain Full-time/Company: Anchorage Digital Anchorage Digital builds a digital asset platform for institutions offering custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement and security infrastructure, and is home to Anchorage Digital Bank, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S. The company is funded by Andreessen Horowitz, GIC, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa and has offices in San Francisco, New York, Porto, Singapore, and Sioux Falls. Responsibilities: - Refine engineering roadmap, drive operational excellence, and create technology strategy for your team. - Lead a team of engineers, owning quality of execution, timeliness, delivery, and growth. - Mentor and coach engineers, focusing on their career development and team health. - Collaborate with Product Managers to align product plans with technical realities and team bandwidth. - Drive hiring, retention, and performance management with recruiting and other engineering managers. - Solve complex, ambiguous challenges and deliver scalable distributed systems. Requirements: - Proven experience managing, mentoring, and growing geographically distributed engineering teams. - Real-world experience building complex distributed systems. - Strong computer science fundamentals (concurrency, algorithms, data structures). - Experience with applied cryptography and familiarity with blockchain protocol white papers. - Professional experience with Go, Rust, TypeScript, or Solidity. - Experience building services from scratch and maintaining code quality and test infrastructure.
