Engineering Manager, Blockchain Full-time/Company: Anchorage Digital Anchorage Digital builds an advanced digital asset platform for institutions, offering custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement, and industry-leading security infrastructure. It is home to Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S., and is backed by leading investors. Anchorage has a security policy requiring all new hires to complete an in-person onboarding process to verify identity and set up secure IT. Responsibilities: - Lead and grow a team of engineers, owning quality of execution, delivery, and team growth. - Refine engineering roadmap, drive operational excellence, and create technology strategy for your team. - Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to level up engineers and support career development. - Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to align product plans with technical realities and team capacity. - Drive recruiting, hiring, and retention efforts for your team. Requirements: - Proven experience managing, mentoring, and growing geographically distributed engineering teams. - Real-world experience building complex distributed systems and strong computer science fundamentals (concurrency, algorithms, data structures). - Experience with applied cryptography and familiarity with blockchain protocol research/whitepapers. - Track record building services from scratch and supporting them with a focus on code quality and test infrastructure. - Professional experience with Go, Rust, TypeScript, or Solidity (Go is commonly used). Nice to have: - Background in the finance industry. - Familiarity with optimistic rollups and zero-knowledge technologies.
