🚀 We’re Hiring — Embedded IoT Engineer Chem Tech is looking for a talented and hands-on Embedded IoT Engineer to join our engineering team and work on an exciting new generation of connected laboratory and medical equipment. 📍 Location: Balteem Industrial Zone, Kafr El Sheikh, Egypt 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time 🏢 Work Mode: On-site 🏠 Accommodation: Company-provided accommodation is available for overnight stays 💰 Salary: 15,000 – 25,000 EGP/month depending on experience and technical skills ### About the Role You will be responsible for developing the embedded and IoT layer that connects Chem Tech laboratory equipment to a centralized cloud platform. The goal is to transform our laboratory equipment into smart, connected devices capable of real-time monitoring, alerts, remote diagnostics, and secure OTA firmware updates. You will work closely with our Cloud / DevOps / Full-Stack Engineer to build the complete connection between physical devices and the cloud platform. ### Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain firmware for STM32 and ESP32 platforms. * Develop embedded applications using Embedded C. * Work with FreeRTOS for real-time embedded applications. * Integrate and communicate with sensors and hardware components. * Implement device communication using MQTT. * Implement secure device-to-cloud communication. * Develop and maintain OTA firmware update mechanisms. * Handle Wi-Fi/network connectivity and automatic reconnection. * Implement device authentication and basic IoT security. * Debug and test firmware on real hardware. * Collaborate with the software team to define device-to-cloud communication protocols. * Help design reliable and scalable IoT device architectures. * Participate in testing and integration of smart laboratory equipment. ### Required Skills Must Have: * Strong knowledge of Embedded C * Hands-on experience with STM32 * Hands-on experience with ESP32 * Good understanding of FreeRTOS * Strong understanding of MQTT * Experience with UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO and ADC * Experience working with sensors * Good understanding of Wi-Fi and TCP/IP * Experience with firmware development and debugging * Understanding of OTA firmware updates * Experience with Git / GitHub ### Nice to Have * STM32CubeIDE / STM32CubeMX * Bootloader development * Secure Boot * Firmware signing * TLS / Certificates * IoT security * AWS IoT * PCB and electronics fundamentals * Python * Experience with laboratory or medical devices * Experience building connected IoT products ### What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is hands-on and capable of building real embedded systems, not just someone with theoretical knowledge. You should be comfortable working with: Hardware → Firmware → Sensors → MQTT → Cloud You don't need previous experience in medical devices, but practical Embedded/IoT projects are highly valued.
