Position Name: Sr. , as few as 6 days per month in the office). Working hours: Mon – Fri (9 AM – 6 PM) Work Location: RSU Tower, 571 Sukhumvit Road, North Klongton, Wattana, Bangkok 10110 Key accountabilities Use AI powered engineering practices and put AI tooling front and center of your day-to-day development activity to turbo charge your productivity. Own the successful delivery of assigned strategic product and technology roadmap initiatives, ensuring outcomes meet business, customer, and quality expectations. Be accountable for software quality and scalability , ensuring solutions meet agreed architectural, performance, security, and reliability standards. Own the adoption and effectiveness of engineering standards, ensuring quality frameworks and best practices are understood, applied, and continuously improved within the team. Be accountable for continuous improvement , championing innovation that measurably improves product quality, maintainability, and reliability. Own customer outcomes , ensuring technical decisions consistently balance customer needs, risk, and long-term sustainability. Be accountable for discovery effectiveness , ensuring requirements are well understood, risks surfaced early, and solutions shaped collaboratively. Own efficiency improvements , ensuring waste is removed, and automation initiatives deliver tangible improvements in team productivity and reliability. Role responsibilities Delivery & Engineering Execution Design, build, test, and maintain high quality, scalable, and maintainable software. Implement solutions aligned with agreed designs, standards, and delivery plans. Contribute directly to the implementation of strategic initiatives. Standards, Quality & Knowledge Sharing Apply teamwide engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices in day-to-day work. Contribute improvements to standards and frameworks based on practical experience. Proactively share knowledge through reviews, documentation, and mentoring. Discovery & Collaboration Actively participate in discovery, refinement, and estimation activities. Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers to clarify requirements and solution options. Provide technical input to design discussions and trade-off decisions. Continuous Improvement & Automation Identify inefficiencies in workflows, tooling, and processes. Implement or contribute to automation of manual and repetitive tasks. Support continuous delivery practices to improve speed, safety, and reliability. Skills and Competencies: Experience working in financial services or similarly complex, regulated environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed tradeoffs. Strong software engineering fundamentals - OO and/or functional programming, Design Patterns, and Domain Driven Design Ability to deliver outcomes to agreed timelines while managing competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Good understanding of operating systems, concurrency, and performance considerations. Extensive experience in coding, testing and maintaining production systems in following technologies and areas. Programming languages and frameworks Language: C/C++, Java, SQL. IDE: Visual Studio/VS Code, NetBeans/Eclipse Application Server: Apache TomEE+/IBM WebSphere Reporting: SSRS/Pentaho Platform: Windows Other: Web Services (SOAP/REST), JMS/MQ, HTML, Java Scripting, XML/Json, Web Development Frameworks, Swagger / Postman AI tools – familiarity and experience with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. g. Jenkins, GitHub). Agile Methodology Solid understanding of the Agile Methodology and working experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban Education and qualification: Bachelor’s degree in software engineering (or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer) Minimum 3-5 years' experience in similar role(s)
