This role involves training LT personnel on network and system concepts, supervising assigned LT staff, and ensuring network security through the implementation of best practices. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong understanding of current network and computer systems, hardware, protocols, and standards. Proven experience in leading Information Technology management, innovations, systems, and development. Expert in cloud computing, virtual server deployment, Windows server administration, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
Demonstrated capacity to promote and encourage technology integration in education and daily business operations. Excellent written and oral communication skills in Thai and English. Skills, Experience, & Attributes Sought Experienced in handling complex projects in demanding environments, excels in goal-setting, meeting deadlines, and creatively solving problems under pressure.
Strong technical knowledge in cloud computing, virtual server deployment, Windows server setup and configuration, Group Policy, and Active Directory. Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing educational and communication technologies, including: iOS, Google Workspace, and Student Information Systems (SIS) Strong knowledge of modern Information Technology network security and project management concepts. Ability to identify problems and implement appropriate solutions Knowledge of data protection, applicable laws and regulations, and emerging legal issues as they relate to information technology, especially within K-12 education.
Duties and
Responsibilities
Network, Security, & System Administration Oversee the planning, installation, and maintenance of the school's LT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems. Ensure the reliability and security of all LT and educational systems Implement patch management and update procedures to secure servers, systems, and apps according to industry best practices. Manage LT equipment and software licensing, tracking, and inventory.
Assess and choose LT vendors, negotiate contracts and service agreements. Ensure the school network is fully operational during access hours and has an appropriate backup strategy in place. Offer guidance to enhance information security and data protection.
Conduct regular penetration testing and address security issues promptly. Enforce all policies and procedures related to network, server, and information security. Conduct periodic training for the LT department on LT security practices.
IT Management Supervise and train assigned LT staff responsible for system and security-related roles. Collaborate with the LT Leadership team to produce an LT Strategic plan. Lead and participate in LT departmental and operational meetings on a regular basis.
Technology Support Utilizing established procedures, like our helpdesk system, to accurately document and track support requests. Managing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) defined by the department, including resolution times and user satisfaction. Providing after-hours and event support as needed, ensuring prompt resolutions to critical technology issues.
Project Management Lead and manage assigned LT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they stay within set timelines and budgets. Prioritize and schedule project tasks efficiently, allocating resources effectively and tracking progress against established milestones. Maintain clear communication and collaboration with project teams, school leadership, and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
Proactively identify potential risks and issues associated with projects, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical matters as necessary. Evaluate the success of completed projects by analyzing outcomes against objectives, identifying areas for improvement, and sharing learnings with the LT team. Contribute to the alignment of project goals with the school's broader LT strategy and educational objectives.
Develop and implement effective project management methodologies and best practices to optimize planning, execution, and control. Planning and Budgeting Collaborate with school leadership to develop an LT strategy aligning with educational goals. Prepare and manage the LT network, servers, systems, and subscriptions budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource allocation.
Asset Management Ensure systems are in place to manage and maintain all infrastructure assets. Ensure assets are regularly patched, maintained, and in good condition. Perform periodic asset audits to ensure accurate asset records.
Submit and verify an accurate asset disposal list for assets no longer in use. Plan for infrastructure and maintenance upgrades in consultation with the Line Manager. Ensure proper licensing for all hardware and systems.
Change Control and Policy Compliance Guide LT staff to ensure compliance with Change Management. Operate an effective change management procedure, ensuring policy compliance. Lead the school’s approach to GDPR and PDPA, providing training and guidance to mitigate data breaches.
Provide regular reports to the Line Manager and school management on information security, including any breaches of security incidents. Report breaches of Change management procedures to the Line Manager. Ensure LT staff follow information security protocols according to d
