The Role: A Network Engineer focuses primarily on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing AISC network infrastructure. While a Network Engineer focuses heavily on designing and building new architecture, this position is operational—ensuring maximum network uptime, handling incident tickets, performing routine upgrades, and providing escalation support for complex connectivity issues. Responsibilities
Manage, investigate, and resolve escalated L1/L2 support tickets regarding network outages, high latency, wireless disconnects, or VPN failures. Execute emergency workarounds, failovers, or hardware replacements (RMA) for failing switches, routers, web application firewalls or firewalls. Monitor network telemetry, link usage, interface errors, and bandwidth utilization using tools like Zabbix.
Perform scheduled firmware/OS updates across network devices (Cisco, Fortinet, Hillstone, Imperva) during designated maintenance windows. Manage the day-to-day Firewalls operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or High Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 2–4 years of technical support experience in network administration or a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and OSPF/BGP routing fundamentals.
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Fortinet, Hillstone, Imperva devices. Good knowledge on products like CyberArk and RankEZ. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, Fortinet Certified Associate / Professional (FCA/FCP) is a plus.
