As an early QA hire, you won't just be clicking buttons; you will be the ultimate gatekeeper of our platform's reliability, ensuring complex payment routing, booking states, and user matching work flawlessly before they ever reach our users. The Role We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to bulletproof Rendy's core infrastructure. You will be responsible for validating everything from front-end UI alignment to complex backend transaction ledgers, booking states, and escrow logic. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and highly self-motivated . You must be eager to learn , adaptable , and open-minded when it comes to adopting new technologies or pivoting testing architectures as our startup grows. Whether you are an experienced tester or a highly analytical fresh graduate eager to prove yourself, if you have an eagle eye for detail, we want to talk to you. Key Responsibilities Business Logic Validation: Deeply understand Rendy’s business requirements. You don't just check if a button clicks; you verify that the checkout math is correct, inventory states are accurate, and edge cases (like a user trying to rent their own item) are handled. Test Planning: Translate complex product requirements into comprehensive, step-by-step test plans and scenarios (including managing Markdown-based test specs). Bug Hunting & Reporting: Aggressively identify bugs, reproduce them consistently, and write crystal-clear, highly detailed bug reports in Jira that developers can action immediately without guessing. Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to provide actionable feedback, clarify UI/UX expectations, and flag blocking issues before release. Automation Support: Work alongside our automated testing pipelines (Playwright), helping to maintain test data, seed files, and database states for automated runs. What You Bring to the Table Experience: 0-2 years of experience. Fresh graduates are highly welcome and encouraged to apply! Eagle-Eyed Detail: You naturally spot the UI misalignment, the typo, and the logical loophole that everyone else missed. Clear Communication: You know how to explain exactly how a system broke, step-by-step, in both written reports and verbal communication. User Empathy: You can put yourself in the shoes of both the Renter and the Owner, understanding how they will try to use (or break) the platform. Mindset: You are an open-minded self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment and is always eager to learn new QA methodologies and tools. Nice to Haves Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript). Experience with issue tracking tools like Jira. Interest in or basic knowledge of automated testing frameworks (like Playwright, Cypress) or AI-driven testing workflows.
