Description
N7 is looking for a Senior / Mid Virtualization Engineer to deliver a mission-critical project for our client. In this role, you will stabilize and evolve a QEMU-based simulation platform for QNX, integrate VirtIO devices, and implement SiL Kit time synchronization, ensuring end-to-end automation within CI/CD pipelines. Fulltime position with flexible start date.
Key
Responsibilities
QEMU & QNX Boot: Stabilize the QEMU platform, resolve QNX boot issues, and implement a complete virtual boot chain (bootloader/boot manager). Virtualization & Device Modeling: Integrate VirtIO devices (net, storage, serial) and design prototype virtual device models for unsupported SoC peripherals. Single Image Execution: Build environment detection so a single, unmodified production image runs seamlessly on both physical HW and QEMU.
SiL Kit Integration: Develop and measure time synchronization solutions between SiL Kit and the QEMU virtual clock. CI/CD & Tooling: Implement automated build/boot validation in Azure DevOps, integrate GDB debugging workflows, and produce technical architecture artifacts (memory maps, boot flows, BSP gap analysis).
Requirements
Deep experience with QNX RTOS and QEMU internal architectures. Solid understanding of BSP/SoC peripherals , driver dependencies, and VirtIO standards. Experience with SiL Kit or virtual clock synchronization.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps , Git, and low-level GDB debugging. Strong communication skills in English (for documentation and
