Ruby on Rails Developer – Remote | U.S. Hours Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours Schedule: Flexibility for sprint reviews, deployments, and occasional on-call support About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Ruby on Rails Developer to build, maintain, and scale modern web applications and APIs. This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on: Ruby on Rails development Backend systems and REST APIs PostgreSQL / MySQL Background jobs with Sidekiq or Resque Application performance and scalability Testing and code quality Third-party integrations Production reliability You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to ship secure, scalable, and maintainable features. If you have 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience and enjoy writing clean, well-tested code, this role is a strong fit. What You’ll Own Ruby on Rails Development Build and maintain production Ruby on Rails applications Develop backend functionality using: Ruby Rails ActiveRecord MVC architecture Design and maintain RESTful APIs Build and manage background jobs using Sidekiq or Resque Integrate third-party APIs and external services Collaborate with frontend engineers working with React, Vue.js, or Stimulus Database Design & Performance Design and maintain PostgreSQL and/or MySQL databases Create and manage database migrations Optimize database queries and application performance Implement: Indexing Caching Query o
