About the Role Join a small engineering team building voice AI agents for customer-facing business workflows. You will own projects from product decisions through architecture and production delivery, helping make real-time AI interactions reliable and useful. What You'll Do Build reliable voice AI systems, including retrieval-augmented generation, dynamic model routing, and testing new transcription systems before release. Design and operate distributed call scheduling systems that handle concurrency, time zones, retries, provider limits, and failures. Extend agents across voice and other communication channels, maintaining shared context across real-time and asynchronous conversations. Develop memory and reasoning capabilities that help agents maintain context through customer workflows. Build AI-powered tools for configuring agents, troubleshooting issues, and connecting to business systems. Improve observability and resilience so issues can be traced to their root causes. What We're Looking For At least 2 years of relevant experience building and shipping product software, including owning distributed systems in production and delivering projects end to end. Production experience with Python, FastAPI, or TypeScript, and data stores such as PostgreSQL or Redis. Experience with distributed systems, real-time systems, audio processing, voice infrastructure, or production AI and agentic systems. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
