Backend Engineer (AWS) About the role We are hiring a Backend Engineer (AWS) to build and run enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications on AWS for a regulated-sector programme in Singapore. Key responsibilities Develop RESTful APIs, microservices and backend integration services Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimise queries Build event-driven integrations using message queues Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes Contribute to GitLab CI/CD pipelines within Agile delivery teams Debug and troubleshoot application issues What you will bring 2 to 4 years of backend software development experience Python, Node.js or Java RESTful APIs and microservices Relational and NoSQL databases Message queues and event-driven architecture Secure coding practices AWS cloud-native development Docker and Kubernetes GitLab, CI/CD and Agile practices Qualifications & certifications Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT or related field Work arrangement Location: Singapore, on-site at client premises Employment type: Contract / Permanent / Full Time Working days: Monday to Friday The successful candidate must be able to obtain the required government security clearance before starting Candidates with existing CAT security clearance will be preferred Interested candidates can send their CV directly to [email]
