Description

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Developer to develop and verify Power Plant Controller (PPC) control features using MATLAB/Simulink as the primary environment, working closely with embedded software developers to carry modeled behavior into PPC implementation. The work supports plant-control capabilities and improved integration of wind, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid assets. Responsibilities Translate feature requirements and control behavior into clear, maintainable MATLAB/Simulink models Participate in requirements clarification and design reviews to make control behavior, assumptions, and acceptance criteria testable Develop and update control logic for functions such as active and reactive power control, voltage or frequency response, dispatch, and plant-level coordination according to the assigned backlog Define and maintain model inputs, outputs, parameter buses, feedback signals, and interfaces with other PPC components Build or adapt closed-loop simulation scenarios using appropriate plant, grid, and equipment models, and investigate dynamic response and unexpected results Run model checks and automated or interactive simulations, and support software-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop validation where the project environment provides it Collaborate with PPC C++ developers to review implementation assumptions, investigate model-to-software differences, and support integration of control changes Contribute to failure-mode analysis, verif
