The ShipTech Analytics organization builds the analytics and business review platform that worldwide Operations team rely on worldwide to plan, track, and improve performance. We are seeking a System Development Engineer with experience in software engineering support or an equivalent role, and a track record of driving projects that improve software development, operational, and customer-facing processes. A successful candidate is an experienced technical team member who takes on challenging responsibilities, brings a metrics-focused approach, demonstrates strong customer focus, and can lead in multi-functional, fast-paced environments. We especially value engineers who bring a product mindset — thinking beyond the immediate fix to how tools and services create lasting value for their customers. If you fit the profile, we would love to talk to you!<br/><br/>Key job responsibilities<br/>You will partner with Software Engineers to develop scalable and highly resilient systems therefore system design together with coding are key!<br/>Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across a large-scale analytics platform, performing thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis<br/>Develop new features spanning services across multiple stacks, using Java, Python and TypeScript on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, OpenSearch)<br/>Design and implement monitoring and alarming to ensure platform reliability, data freshness, and performance<br/>Manage software deployments and supporting infra
