About the role Our client, a growing technology organization, is seeking an experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to establish and lead its Site Reliability Engineering function. This role will focus on improving system reliability, strengthening incident response, enhancing observability, and establishing effective on-call operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of production incident management, monitoring infrastructure, and reliability improvement initiatives while working closely with senior engineering and technology leadership. Key responsibilities Lead production incidents from initial detection through resolution, coordinating with engineering teams and communicating updates to stakeholders. Own the incident management lifecycle, including triage, escalation, resolution, and post-incident reviews. Develop and maintain incident response runbooks and operational documentation. Conduct blameless post-mortems and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Establish and manage on-call rotations, escalation policies, and incident response procedures. Reduce alert fatigue by improving alert quality and eliminating unnecessary notifications. Own and maintain the observability stack, including infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring, logging, and error tracking. Develop dashboards, alerts, and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to monitor platform health. Coordinate responses to security incidents, including unauthorized access,
