Description

Responsibilities As a FinOps Consultant , you will support the automotive FinOps engagement , working closely with the Product Owner to improve cloud financial management across AWS and GCP environments. You will apply a strong FinOps mindset across the entire cloud financial management lifecycle — Inform, Optimize, and Operate — helping teams improve cost transparency, identify optimization opportunities, and establish sustainable cost management practices. You will work hands-on with native AWS and GCP cost management tools to analyze cost and usage data, monitor cloud expenditure, and identify opportunities for cost optimization as transitions away from Apptio Cloudability . You will analyze cloud spending and usage patterns, supporting cost optimization initiatives such as rightsizing, Savings Plans and other cloud commitments, resource utilization improvements, and waste reduction. You will support the implementation and continuous improvement of tagging strategies, cost allocation mechanisms, reporting, and forecasting to provide transparency into cloud expenditure and enable informed financial decisions. You will develop and maintain cost reports, dashboards, and actionable insights to help technical teams and business stakeholders understand cloud spending, budget developments, and optimization opportunities.
