At the core of the role In Sofia, Bulgaria we are actively seeking a Senior Python Engineer to strengthen our team dedicated to a project in Information Technology auditing, consulting, and software development industry domain. The work is hybrid, and the suitable candidate can work from the client's office in Sofia approximately 1-2 days per week or biweekly. Core skills you’ll bring 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Python. Advanced knowledge of Python, including object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming, and modern language features. Strong experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask. Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services. Solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and clean architecture. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching solutions such as MongoDB or Redis. Experience with ORMs such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
