The Basics Tanium is seeking an AI Research Scientist. This role reports to our Sr. Director AI and Applied Research leading AI design, prototyping, and experimentation across Tanium products and solutions. As an AI Research Scientist, you will collaborate across engineering and product teams to design, develop, and evaluate AI and ML models that power intelligent endpoint management and security solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world cybersecurity applications at enterprise scale. This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA. What you’ll do Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to design and implement AI and machine learning (ML) algorithms that improve Tanium’s autonomous IT capabilities. Develop and evaluate ML models across a wide variety of use cases, including anomaly detection, threat identification, and performance optimization. Analyze large-scale endpoint data to extract meaningful insights and develop predictive models. Contribute to the design and implementation of data pipelines that efficiently process and analyze endpoint data at scale.
