Position Overview As a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer at Diligent, you will play a hands-on role in designing, building, and evolving secure, scalable, and high-performing SaaS applications and services. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning technical delivery across projects, shaping backend architecture, and contributing to the long-term modernization of our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teammates to deliver customer value through well-designed APIs, maintainable Rails applications, modern engineering practices, reliable cloud-based deployments, and pragmatic use of AI-assisted engineering tools where they improve speed or quality. Success in this role requires strong ownership, sound technical judgment, and a collaborative approach to mentoring others, improving how the team works, and applying new tools responsibly. Key Responsibilities Design, build, review, test, and maintain Ruby on Rails features and services in line with Diligent’s agile engineering practices. Own technical delivery for projects, epics, and major user stories, including solution design, implementation planning, and execution through to production. Develop and evolve RESTful APIs and web applications with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance. Contribute to architectural decisions, prototype solutions where needed, and help separate major components and subsystems as products evolve. Partner effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, Security,
