The Job in Short At Backbase, we build secure, enterprise-grade digital banking software used every day by millions of people worldwide. As a Senior AI Applied Engineer with mobile depth, you will help design, build, and evolve the Backbase Mobile Platform and the product capabilities around it. You bring deep expertise in Android. Using AI-assisted and agentic ways of working, you will contribute across mobile platforms and the wider product stack, including UI, delivery pipelines, testing, and documentation. This role combines mobile craftsmanship with broad product ownership. We are looking for an engineer who can make sound platform-specific decisions, use agents to move effectively through unfamiliar technology, and remain accountable for the quality, security, and business outcome of everything they ship. Meet the Job You will join a multidisciplinary squad responsible for delivering end-to-end digital banking capabilities, from initial discovery and technical design to release, adoption, and production support. You will solve complex product and engineering problems that cross platform and system boundaries. As a senior engineer, you will be a technical authority within your area of depth and a force multiplier for the wider team.
