Our client, a leading securities firm, is looking for an infrastructure engineer to look after the mission-critical transactional platforms with heavy daily transaction volumes where continuous availability is mandatory. Engineering teams here operate in structured environments with dedicated resources for modernizing legacy platforms into containerized and automated architectures. The Role & Landscape We are looking for a Senior Linux & Infrastructure Engineer to own both day-to-day production stability and progressive modernization projects across a hybrid footprint. You will serve as the technical lead for enterprise Linux systems and the container platform layer running on VMware Tanzu. Key responsibilities Take full operational ownership of enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across physical server hardware (HPE) and virtualized farms (VMware ESXi, AWS). Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize production container platforms running on VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes. Design and execute configuration management, server provisioning, and patching routines using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripts. Handle L1 to L3 incident escalations, deep-dive root cause analyses, system tuning, and capacity planning. Plan and participate in scheduled off-hours weekend releases, maintenance windows, and annual Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity (DR/BCP) exercises.
