Description

Overview The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer provides hands-on operational ownership of AWS cloud environments to improve reliability, observability, performance, capacity, cost efficiency, automation, and disaster recovery readiness. This role will ensure accountability and internal ownership of day-to-day cloud operations by collaborating with vendors and MSP. This position leads operational incident and problem resolution, improves runbooks and automation, and oversees managed-service-provider execution. It partners with architecture, security, application development, migration, product, and emerging-technology teams to ensure approved solutions are production-ready and sustainably operated. Responsibilities Owns the day-to-day operational health, reliability, availability, and supportability of AWS cloud environments Implements and improves monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and observability practices that enable proactive issue detection and response Leads incident response, service restoration, root-cause analysis, problem management, post-incident reviews, and corrective-action follow-through. Automates provisioning, configuration, remediation, deployment, and routine operational tasks using infrastructure as code and scripting Analyzes and improves cloud performance, capacity, scalability, and resource utilization Identifies and executes approved cloud cost-optimization opportunities in partnership with finance and technology stakeholders Maintain
