About the role We are looking for an autonomous Freelance Data Scientist based in Sydney to work approximately 10 hours per week for a client , owning the intersection of sophisticated predictive decision-making and world-class engineering for our local operations. In this role, you won't just run standard scripts; you will be the custodian of our product's localized evolution, ensuring our AI-driven decision engines are mathematically sound, highly optimized, and engineering-resilient. You will be working remotely from Sydney, supporting our clients in the region. Working closely with our core engineering team in Berlin, you will translate complex, real-world retail challenges into scalable, high-performance software solutions directly impacting our clients on the ground. As our dedicated data science resource in Sydney, you are the engine of 7Learnings’ regional presence. Our product relies on the perfect harmony between complex algorithms and stable software; you will be responsible for ensuring that our technical execution remains flawless, technical debt remains low, and model accuracy remains exceptionally high, all within a focused commitment of approximately 10 hours per week.
