Mō te tūranga | About the Role Lead Westpac New Zealand's High Value and International Payments domain, industry participation and ecosystem engagement. Own Westpac's strategic position, payment rails, industry standards, participation obligations and operating frameworks for high-value domestic and international payments, ensuring services remain effective, resilient, compliant and aligned to evolving customer, industry and regulatory needs. Represent Westpac in industry and regulatory forums, shaping the future direction of high-value and international payment systems and standards while fostering strong relationships with regulators, industry bodies, payment networks, financial institutions and ecosystem participants. Act as the business owner for Westpac New Zealand’s high-value and international payment rails, standards, obligations and operating frameworks, ensuring they remain effective, resilient, compliant and fit for purpose. Develop and maintain Westpac’s enterprise strategy and strategic position for high-value and international payment rails, clearing and settlement arrangements, industry standards and ecosystem developments. Represent Westpac in industry forums, working groups and stakeholder engagements with regulators, industry bodies and payment system participant, influencing the development of relevant rules, standards, market practices and operating frameworks.
