The Firmware Engineer II will design, develop, and test the embedded software for pluggable optical transceiver modules within the Optical Engines product unit. You will work closely with Optical, Hardware, and Test engineers to deliver high-quality, production-grade firmware for next-generation optical products. Duties and Responsibilities Perform all aspects of embedded firmware design and development, including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and debugging Write device drivers for complex ASIC’s, FPGA’s, and other components Contribute to hardware design and participate in hardware design reviews Support the initial turn-up of new hardware Work with optical, hardware, and test engineers to ensure product goals are met Develop automation scripts to validate and test the product firmware Develop user interfaces for transceiver assemblies and plugs Assist in the design and implementation of manufacturing test fixtures Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related Proficient in C programming for embedded software De
