For our brand-new office located in Milano Bicocca we are looking for a: Senior Backend Engineer/ Data Engineer The backend engineer we’re looking for is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing data systems and pipelines that support the organization’s data flow needs. Operating within the Data Platform engineering team, you will also collaborate closely with backend/frontend teams and other stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable data solutions. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain s calable data pipeline s for batch and real-time processing (ETL/ELT), from source systems to data lakes, warehouses and lakehouses Translate existing data models into scalable and efficient implementations Develop, test and optimize code for data ingestion , transformation and loading Design and maintain backend services and APIs that expose data to internal and external consumers (e.g. UIs, Grafana dashboards), ensuring stability and performance Implement validation, monitoring and alerting to ensure data quality and inte
