Data Infrastructure Engineer (6 month contract) Lunar Energy is looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain the hybrid infrastructure stack underpinning our enterprise data platform. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of a multi-tier environment spanning columnar analytics databases, relational SQL systems, Windows and Linux application servers, and shared storage — ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability across production and development environments. You will bring strong hands-on expertise in database administration, scripting, and ETL pipeline development, paired with an operational mindset and a proactive approach to capacity planning and infrastructure-as-code. On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely… Design, deploy, and maintain Vertica analytics database clusters (physical and virtual), including cluster topology, K-safety, node health, projection design, and query performance tuning. Administer SQL Server 2016/2019 Enterprise on virtualized Windows infrastructure, including configuring and maintaining Always On Availability Groups for high availability.
