Blockchain Engineer Full-time/Company: Ctrl Alt Ctrl Alt designs and operates the on-chain infrastructure powering digital capital markets globally. Since launching in 2022 they’ve tokenized over $1.5bn in assets across real estate, private credit, funds and more. Responsibilities: - Design and implement secure, auditable smart contract logic for tokenization, asset management, and governance - Work with a queue-based architecture to create transactions, send them to blockchain nodes, and manage responses to track the ledger - Integrate blockchain and distributed ledger technologies into backend systems - Evaluate, test, and deploy blockchain logic on networks such as Cosmos, Liquid, and other Layer 1s - Build tools for interacting with on-chain infrastructure (transaction monitoring, wallet integrations, etc.) - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver robust blockchain-based solutions for financial institutions - Promote best practices in blockchain security and operational resilience Requirements: - 3+ years software engineering experience, with at least 1+ years working with blockchain or distributed ledger technologies - Experience using TypeScript/JavaScript to build integrations with blockchains - Familiarity with a queue-based architecture - Experience developing and deploying smart contract logic or similar on Layer 1 networks - Familiarity with token standards and asset representation on-chain - Understanding of cryptographic primitives (signatures, hashes, multisig) and transaction flows - Experience integrating blockchain infrastructure into backend applications; knowledge of blockchain tools/APIs (e.g. Cosmos SDK, Elements for Liquid) Nice to have: - Exposure to finance or fintech environments, particularly involving digital assets or tokenization - Hands-on experience with Cosmos SDK, Liquid Network, or other modular blockchain frameworks - Understanding of consensus mechanisms and interoperability protocols - Familiarity with regulated tokenization platforms or compliance-first blockchain use cases - Experience working with custodial and non-custodial wallet systems - Strong communication skills for writing documentation and technical specs Stack: TypeScript, JavaScript, Cosmos SDK, Elements (Liquid), Liquid Network, Cosmos, Layer 1 smart contracts, queue-based architectures Benefits: - Competitive salaries with regular reviews - Generous stock options - Premium private healthcare - 26 days annual leave + birthday off and regional bank holidays; flexible leave - Enhanced parental leave policy - MacBook, screens, and any additional equipment needed - Access to salary sacrifice schemes covering childcare, groceries, EV cars, tech, pensions, bikes, and subscriptions (UK Only) - Annual learning and personal development budget - Modern offices in London, Belfast, Dundalk, and Dubai 📩 Apply
